Green Initiative
Walton Press has for a long time been a pioneer in leading the print industry toward a cleaner and greener future.
We are committed to using biodegradable and recycled materials and have taken the following steps to achieve our goal of creating a non-contaminating printing environment:
- Introduced an all-electronic workflow for plate making.
- Eliminated silver based films, caustic developer, fixers and contaminated water.
- Use of Soy Based Inks.
- Eliminated all solvent-based inks that contain harmful volatile organic compounds.
- Introduced an environmentally friendly and recyclable process for mixing color inks with our black ink.
- Use of recyclable Aluminum Offset Plates.
- Using certified recycled papers upon customer request. Newsprint is an ideal paper for recycling since it does not have any clay content, nor has it been heat set as with gloss papers.
- Repurposed our used rubber offset blankets.
Walton Press is truly the Environmentally Friendly Printer.
