5 Questions to ask
a potential printer
As a publisher, you are judged on the quality of your printed product. So it goes without saying that the decision to whom you will entrust your magazine, newspaper, brochure, or annual report is one of the most important you will make. Price, reputation, quality, customer service and flexibility are just a few of the factors you will need to take into account when selecting a print partner. To help you make the most informed and educated decision possible, we have highlighted five key questions we believe you should ask:
1. Are you just a vendor or a true partner ?
Your partnership with Walton Press doesn't begin once your first publication has printed. It begins during our first conversation. That's when we first start learning about your company, understanding your business and anticipating your needs.
From that point on, we are committed to helping you achieve your business and publishing goals. Walton Press prints over 300 publications. We have worked with many of our customers for years, if not decades.
Service is our signature and close, personal relationships are the foundation of our business. Our goal with every client is to create a partnership built on trust, respect, and a continual commitment to excellence.
2. What is the "true" cost of my job?

There is no doubt that price is an important factor to consider when selecting a company to print your publication. If you are reviewing quotes from several potential printers, we believe it is very important that you are able to compare apples to apples. We recommend you consider the following:
- Many printers offer attractive pricing terms to win business, but then surprise you with "miscellaneous" late charges or "unexpected" fees for additional production work.
- A discounted print job may sound enticing, but think about how your advertising and subscription revenues might suffer if your publication is delivered late or is not printed to your required standard.
- If a price seems too good to be true, chances are it is.
3. What customer support will I receive?
